First-year student application
If you've looked at our academic programs and checked out student life at Manchester University and liked what you saw, then you should absolutely apply!
You may apply after completing your junior year in high school. Applications are considered on a rolling basis and decisions are generally made within two weeks after your application file is complete.
You'll also need…
A self-written, minimum 250-word essay. You can write this especially with Manchester in mind, or include something you've written for a past school project.
- The High School Report. After filling out the student portion, give it to your guidance counselor to complete and send to the Office of Admissions.
- Official transcripts of all high school and current and/or previous college work must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions. Check with your guidance counselor about how to obtain copies of your transcript.
- Manchester accepts standardized test scores from both SAT and ACT exams. List Manchester when you take your exam, or request from your guidance counselor that official score reports be sent to us (scores reported on high school transcripts are acceptable).
You may also apply using the Common Application, which allows you to apply to multiple schools simultaneously. You'll still need to provide to Manchester the items listed above.
