Individualized Interdisciplinary Major

Manchester College's individualized interdisciplinary major option is just one of the many ways we ensure that students are challenged, inspired and rewarded for their pursuit of higher goals. When none of the academic majors offered at Manchester match the specific academic needs of a student, he or she may create an individualized interdisciplinary major.

Students interested in an individualized major must present a program proposal to the vice president and dean for academic affairs, and then the major must be approved by the Academic Policies Committee. Students are encouraged to consult with an appropriate academic adviser prior to submitting a proposal. A student electing to complete an individualized interdisciplinary major cannot have another academic major.
